I recently had an incident with my western saddle. I purchased a saddle from eBay and it fit my horse perfectly. I have been using this western saddle for years. One thing I did not realize when I cleaned the saddle that the Front Rigging Dee was wearing on the leather. Last week end I was riding in Tennessee and the Front Rigging broke through the leather. As I hit the ground and rolled to a stop, I was thinking "at least I was not at a full Gallop when the saddle broke." With no major injuries I rigged the saddle using my own leather belt well enough that I did not have to walk 6 miles back to the barn.
